Trumps 2nd Term

Image
During the June 20th episode of Last Week Tonight on HBO, John Oliver paints a picture of Trump's 2nd term and his next administration as designed by the folks at Project 2025 .  With deep links to conservative organizations and fueled by former members of Trumps administration, Project 2025 is essentially a government in waiting for Trumps second term. Last Week Tonight - Trumps 2nd Term Project 2025 Quotables " I will sign a bill establishing that the only genders recognized by the US government are male and female. " -Donald Trump " The radical left invented trans people just a few years ago. The Seven Mountain Mandate

Image
The Seven Mountain Mandate (7M) is a conservative Christian movement that seeks to influence seven key areas of American society: Family Religion Education Media Entertainment Business Government/Military The main ideas behind this mandate are: Christians should seek to "occupy" or gain influence over these seven "mountains" or spheres of society. By transforming these areas, Christians can bring about societal change and expand God's kingdom on earth. It's based on the belief that Christians should take dominion over earthly institutions to prepare for Christ's return. While supporters see it as a strategy for evangelism and positive cultural change, critics view it as a form of dominion theology that seeks to impose Christian rule.  The mandate is not explicitly found in scripture, though proponents try to link it to certain Bible verses Mike Johnson, current Speaker of the House, is openly associated with 7M ideology.

Florida Law Prohibits Felons from Holding Public Office

Image
Florida law prohibits individuals convicted of felonies from holding public office until their civil rights, including the right to hold office, have been restored. This is part of Florida's broader approach to the civil rights of convicted felons.  [ Middle District of Florida ]  Here are the key points: 1.    Felony Conviction: A person convicted of a felony in Florida loses certain civil rights, including the right to vote, the right to serve on a jury, and the right to hold public office. 2.    Restoration of Civil Rights: To regain the right to hold public office, a felon must have their civil rights restored. This typically involves completing their sentence, including any parole or probation, and then applying for restoration. 3.    Executive Clemency: The process of restoring civil rights is often overseen by the Florida Executive Clemency Board, which is composed of the Governor and members of the Cabinet. The board reviews applications and determines whether to restore an

Texas Man Charged with Threatening FBI agent

Image
A 43-year-old man named Timothy Muller from Fort Worth, Texas was arrested and charged with threatening an FBI agent involved in the Hunter Biden investigation, shortly after Biden was convicted on felony gun charges. The threats came just hours after Biden's conviction and contained false claims about the 2020 election being "stolen." Muller was charged with interstate threatening communications and influencing/impeding a federal official. He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted. The arrest highlights the surge in violent threats against law enforcement linked to politically sensitive investigations.  Neighbors described Muller as a quiet individual. They expressed shock upon hearing about his arrest. “He kept to himself,” one neighbor said. “We never imagined he could do something like this.” Muller called an FBI Special Agent and left a threatening voicemail, followed up by subsequent text messages threatening the agent and his family, officials said in a releas

Putting You All on Notice

Image
Kash Patel explicitly stated that he and Steve Bannon are "putting you all on notice" and that "we're going to come after you—whether it's criminal or civilly, we'll figure that out" in reference to members of the media who they believe "lied about American citizens" and "helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections." Bannon directly addressed and threatened the producers of MSNBC's Morning Joe show, saying "And I want the Morning Joe producers that watch us, and all the producers that watch us—this is just not rhetoric. We're absolutely dead serious." So Patel and Bannon unambiguously warned that if Trump returns to power, they intend to go after media figures like the Morning Joe hosts and staff, either criminally or through civil lawsuits, for their perceived lies and role in the 2020 election. Kash Patel has made explicit threats against members of the media beyond just the hosts and producers of MSNBC's Morni

Kingdom of Rage

How did a Church that purports to follow the teachings of Jesus become a breeding ground for violent extremism? When Elizabeth Neumann began her anti-terrorism career with President George W. Bush’s Homeland Security Council in the wake of the September 11 attacks, she expected to spend her life protecting her country from the threat of global terrorism. However, as her career evolved, she perceived that the greatest threat to American security came not from religious fundamentalists in Afghanistan or Iraq but from white nationalists and radicalized religious fundamentalists within the very institution closest to her heart—the American evangelical church. Neumann began sounding the alarm, raising her concerns to anyone in government who would listen, including testifying before Congress in February 2020. She warned that anti-Semitic and white supremacist terrorism was a transnational threat building toward another major attack. Shortly after her testimony, she resigned as Department

If Trump is Re-elected

Here's what Donald Trump plans to do if he returns to the White House. 1. Crack down on illegal immigration to an extreme degree Trump has reiterated his pledge to deport millions of undocumented immigrants and implement stricter immigration policies, including mass deportation operations. Trump has explicitly stated he wants to model his deportation efforts after the controversial "Operation Wetback" program from the Eisenhower era in the 1950s, which aimed to deport hundreds of thousands of Mexican immigrants. Trump aims to vastly expand the use of "expedited removal", which allows for rapid deportations without court hearings. His previous administration expanded it beyond just those caught within 100 miles of the border. Trump's team has said there will be renewed attempts to conduct broad raids targeting workplaces, public areas, and communities to detain undocumented immigrants indiscriminately, not focusing on specific individuals. Trump's campa
